When Does the Dodge Caliber Check Engine Light Come On?

The Caliber’s MIL illuminates when the PCM detects faults in ignition, emissions, or the CVT drivetrain. Frequent triggers include misfires (coil or spark plug), EVAP leaks (loose fuel cap, cracked hoses), catalytic efficiency codes (P0420) and oil pressure sensor faults (P0520). Use a scan tool to read the codes, repair the root cause, and clear the MIL after confirmation. Complete a drive cycle to reset monitors.

See the full Caliber CEL guide for code tables and diagnostics.
